Milan attracts the attention of the international sector

Fashion, finished products, materials, and technology at simultaneous events for visitors from around the world.

MICAM: The point where all the actors in the footwear chain converge.

The city of Milan, Italy, is one of the global fashion capitals and in September will be the meeting point for the industry through various sector fairs. From Sunday, September 15th to Tuesday, September 17th, the fairs MICAM MILANO, dedicated to footwear; MIPEL, focused on leather goods and accessories; and MILANO FASHION AND JEWELS, featuring apparel, accessories, and jewelry, will take place.

In addition to finished products, the supply sector will also be highlighted, with LINEAPELLE and SIMAC TANNING TECH running from Tuesday, September 17th to Thursday, September 19th, at the Fiera Milano Rho event center.

MICAM: The largest fashion and business space for footwear

The international footwear fair has adapted to exhibitors' requests by returning to a three-day format. This change aims to create a more efficient and focused visit, concentrating on the most attended days and reducing costs for companies, as announced by ASSOCALZATURIFICI, the fair organizer and association representing Italian footwear manufacturers.

In this context, Giovanna Ceolini, president of the association, told World Footwear: "MICAM MILANO has always been the place where footwear companies not only present their collections in preview but also secure business opportunities thanks to an international audience of operators."

Alongside the exhibitors' offerings for the Spring/Summer 2025 season, MICAM X will feature a diverse agenda of activities. These include technology solutions for retail, start-ups aligned with Industry 4.0 and sustainability, material and trends exhibitions for the next two seasons, and Emerging Designers, a space dedicated to young designers from around the world.

In advance, the organization has confirmed the dates for next year. The following edition will take place from February 23rd to 25th, 2025, while the 100th edition will be held from September 7th to 9th.

LINEAPELLE: upcoming trends in materials and components

The supplier exhibition will showcase trends for Fall/Winter 2025-2026 in leather, skins, synthetics, textiles, components, and accessories for the footwear, apparel, leather goods, automotive, and furniture industries.

The trends for this season will be presented under the theme “An Intelligent Heart.” In light of the changes we are currently experiencing and the decisions we must make, it is important to consider our heart and its feelings. Despite the advantages of Artificial Intelligence, the heart makes the difference.

Occupying over 46,000 square meters across six pavilions at the exhibition center, LINEAPELLE will feature international companies, including representatives from the Americas, such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States, as reported by the organizers.

As usual, material and supply proposals will be complemented by knowledge spaces. Fashion conferences will reveal sector trends, while the Trend Areas will showcase around two thousand products, presenting the most original samples from exhibitors.
