More international visitors at the MOMAD footwear fair in Spain

The call was higher in relation to the previous edition of 2022, driven by the complementarity with other fairs.

The footwear sector at MOMAD has won a call for its simultaneous celebration with other fashion and accessories events.

The International Fashion, Footwear and Accessories Trade Show was held between February 3rd and 5th, in Hall 8 of the IFEMA MADRID fairgrounds. The event shared days with Intergift, Madridjoya and Bisutex, exhibitions aimed at decoration, furniture, gifts, costume jewelry, jewelry, accessories and watches, thus forming a comprehensive lifestyle offer.

Segmented into areas such as Casual, Contemporary, Event, Resortwear and Sustainable Experience, MOMAD presented the footwear proposals for the Spring/Summer 2023 and Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 seasons, hand in hand with more than 300 national brands and from 15 countries: United States, Colombia, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Austria, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Greece, Korea and Japan.

In addition, this edition of the Spanish fashion fair obtained positive results in the participation of visitors from 59 countries, which marked a growth of 55% compared to September 2022.

As a complement, the organization designed the MOMAD Catwalk space, where future trends and collections of 30 exhibiting brands were shown. And the Bisutex, Madridjoya and MOMAD Image Forum focused on sustainability, design and business, through knowledge exchanges and debates, as reported by IFEMA MADRID -organizer of the event-.

Comprehensive lifestyle offer

The celebration of the four fairs together generated the opportunity to close deals, reactivate commercial activity and promote interactions between the actors of the fashion industry.

The event stood out for its international profile, where more than a thousand brands participated, from 26 countries, added to the 89 nations represented by visitors. In this regard, the 36,000 people who attended the exhibitions represented a 12% average increase compared to what was called in September 2022; while the figure grew by 24% compared to February of that year.

Regarding the proposal for the integration of the sectors that make up the concept of lifestyle, Julia González -director of the fairs-, stated: "We continue to bet on the joint call format, since it is of great value to be able to access the globality of the offer and the quality of the product that we offer in these four shows, with which we make a difference”.

Next edition

IFEMA MADRID will host the future celebration of MOMAD, Intergift, Madridjoya and Bisutex, which are scheduled between September 13th and 17th, 2023.
