The 2nd edition of the Spanish fair took place at La Nave fairgrounds, where trends in footwear and accessories for Spring/Summer 2020 and Fall/Winter 2019-2020 were presented .
The event -organized by IFEMA- was attended by 112 brands, including 18 exhibitors from Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Portugal, Dominican Republic and China, as well as local companies.
According to data communicated from the fair organization, the attendance grew 2% compared to the previous edition, with a volume of visits of around 3 thousand people and the presence of 127 visitors from abroad.
For its part, the International Guest Buyers Program made it possible to expand the horizons of the exhibitors to markets abroad. Both the promotion of the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE), and ICEX Spain Export and Investment, as a collaborator, enabled the international presence of 27 buyers.
The program for the three days of the fair icluded sustainability; the digital universe in e-commerce and footwear brands, among other topics.
The care of the environment was also present in the activities. Among the new proposals of the fair, the Sustainable Experience was held, an exhibition of sustainable products, which highlighted the awareness of the footwear industry about sustainability in the production process.
In addition, the Freaklances Project of Shoesroom Innovation showed the technical aspects applied in lasts, footwear, and insoles regarding 3D modeling and printing.
