To boost the industry through e-commerce
The traditional footwear fair in Brazil, FRANCAL, for some years associated with ABLAC -the association of footwear stores- to form the new event FRANCAL-ABLAC SHOW, has recently announced its "partnership" with MERCADO LIBRE, the largest Marketplace of Latin America, which will take place between August 22nd and 24th, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.
FRANCAL has vast experience in fairs, after 51 editions dedicated to footwear, with a base of 40 thousand active contacts, and having promoted sales and exports of Brazilian products.
For its part, MERCADO LIBRE receives 11 million footwear consumers per month on its platform. Only in May 2022, it sold in the FASHION category, the sum of US$ 185 million, of which 30% of the turnover was in footwear. In the new relationship, FRANCAL's role will be to provide exhibitors and brands with access to a new buyer segment, that is, merchants who sell footwear through MERCADO LIBRE, its mission being to connect this ecosystem. These B2B merchants move millions on the platform and are looking for new brands and industries.
Through a strategic targeted dissemination and communication plan, this sector will be informed about the advantages of the event, as a step into the future of e-commerce, which is estimated to grow by around 35% in the coming years.
