PREMIÈRE VISION live event in Paris was canceled

Due to resurgence of Covid-19 in Europe, the supplier fair for fashion will concentrate its offer in digital version.

In a recent press release distributed by the organization of the fair in France, it is reported that “over the last few months, PREMIÈRE VISION has shown an unwavering commitment to the realization of the September edition to support the fashion industry in the face of the unprecedented Coronavirus crisis, while guaranteeing all the necessary health and safety conditions”.

“Encouraged by signs of an improvement in the health situation and by the opening of Europe after the closure, as well as by the increase in visitor pre-registrations in recent weeks, PREMIÈRE VISION had initially chosen to keep the physical edition of its show in Paris on September 15th and 16th”.

“However, recent decisions by the French government prohibiting the resumption of events of more than 5,000 people until after October 31, along with new travel restrictions in many countries and the resurgence of increased health risk, have led to PREMIÈRE VISION to cancel the physical event in Paris Nord Villepinte in favor of an exclusively virtual format, the Digital Show. This format confirms the accelerated adoption of digital initiatives by the industry, which have been truly catalyzed by the health crisis”.

Gilles Lasbordes, General Manager of PREMIÈRE VISION:

“Suspending the physical edition of PREMIÈRE VISION PARÍS for September was a difficult decision, which we resigned ourselves to in light of the directives of the French government.

However, we are fortunate to have been among the first in this sector to invest in digital to strengthen the service we provide to the entire market and help it make this transformation."

"This means that today we can provide concrete solutions to the sourcing needs of brands, and in terms of the challenges manufacturers face in terms of visibility and promotion of their creations on a global scale."

“At the same time, we are pleased to be able to reopen the fashion fair season with Made in France PREMIÈRE VISION, our event dedicated to French manufacturing, to be held at the Carreau du Temple on September 1 and 2, which will host some 100 exhibitors.”
