The International Footwear and Leather Goods Fair will celebrate its 82nd edition on Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4, Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March 2020 at the Poliforum León fairgrounds, in the city of León in the State of Guanajuato.
During the four days that SAPICA will be held, around 850 exhibitors will present the new collections, where the national footwear offer is represented in more than 90%.
The layout of the fair will be structured in various pavilions, sectorized as Casual, High Fashion, Lady Dress, Cowboy, Sports, Child, Leather Goods, Developing Companies and the Knowledge Pavilion.
In this sense, in 45 thousand square meters of exhibition area will be distributed more than 2 thousand stands with various types of footwear, such as sandals, casual and cowboy boots, moccasins, sneakers, school shoes, ballerinas, orthopedic products and for athletes.
SAPICA remains in constant innovation and evolution, adapting to market trends, which captures the interest and participation of local and international visitors, as well as Mexican producers.
It also becomes a point of attention for the characteristics of its exhibition offer, with the use of materials such as exotic skins, calfskin, goatskin, or pigskin, added to textiles and synthetics.
In this way, the footwear and leather goods sector find at the fair a space to become visible in the world. In parallel, both from the Foreign Trade Promotion Coordinator (COFOCE) and SHOES FROM MEXICO carry out commercial missions to promote business with potential markets.
As a result of these actions, SAPICA manages to convene an average of 200 foreign buyers, in each of its editions, which represent countries such as Canada, the United States, France, Spain, Japan, Guatemala, Chile, Costa Rica and Colombia.An agenda with varied dissertations puts the focus on knowledge, aimed at representatives of the footwear, leather, leather goods, supply and commercialization industries. Thus, the Knowledge Pavilion addresses issues related to e-commerce, innovations in the fashion sector, seasonal trends, commercial strategies and new forms of consumption, by specialists in the field.
While, on the other hand, local designers combine their work with footwear producers and the result is displayed in the SAPICA fashion shows. The main event is MEXICO IS FASHION, which is accompanied by commercial catwalks that take place in the different days of the show.
