In its beginning, the SAPICA manifesto states: “We are a moving industry, proud of our roots and our history, we are an industry in constant evolution, renewing and innovating each season along with the demands of the market, moving and advance, we will arrive next March to the eightieth second edition of SAPICA, our maximum showcase of footwear and leather goods that brings together the best manufacturers in the country and the most important national and foreign merchants.”
Under such principles, the most important international footwear and leather goods fair of Mexico and Latin America, and the second in the American continent, will open its doors from March 3 to 6, 2020 at the Poliforum of León, in the State of Guanajuato.
In a total area of 42 thousand m2, almost 3 thousand companies and brands will exhibit their new collections in 2 thousand stands, located in 10 pavilions.
The SAPICA footwear fair will be held in Guanajuato, the main shoe zone in the country, which has a long tradition and recognition in the local and international order.
The event brings together local buyers from all states, in addition to foreigners from 30 countries.
Endless models and styles of footwear and manufactures. All male, women and children's lines in high fashion, dress, casual and sports segments will be exposed to visitors.
Within the offer, we can mention cowboy boots, a specialty and emblematic product of Mexico. Different types of booties, sandals, moccasins, ballerinas and tennis will be added. Also in the specialties sector, orthopedic, for diabetic, rest and safety shoes will be find; as well as for golf and cycling.
As for the cowboy boots, different designs with high quality skins and materials will be appreciated, with thorough artisan processes, recognized worldwide. Athleisure and Fitness trends will be expressed in a vast assortment of running, crosstrainnig, outdoor products and sporty in general.

In the set of the proposal of footwear and manufactures of Mexico, the own aesthetic codes that give a strong identity to modeling are notorious. The new designers appeal to a rich source of inspiration, represented by ancestral icons of their culture that result in an original handling of color and shapes. A plus for Mexican products, where design is preponderant in current fashion.
In the process of internationalization, the SAPICA fair has become an unbeatable provision source of footwear, leather goods and manufactures for foreign buyers, in its different channels: wholesalers, retailers and distributors. For this, the Mexican industry offers a wide range of qualities, with capacity and flexibility according to each need.
This activity is supported by SHOES FROM MEXICO, the initiative that organizes trade missions to promote the country brand and COFOCE -Coordinator of Foreign Trade Promotion- the state government entity, which facilitates the visit of international buyers to strengthen commercial ties with potential markets that can develop business with the Mexican industry.
It is one of the most relevant aspects of SAPICA. Where thousands of visitors and fashion professionals access the most representative of the proposal made up of the main designers and brands in the country.
Over the years, models of Louis Verdad, Héctor Terrones, Macario Jiménez, Pineda Covalín, Trista, Bernarda and Armando Takeda, among others, all of international class, have paraded through the event.
For the next edition of March, at the MEXICO ES MODA and FUTURE TALENTS fashion shows, will show their collections the designers Andrés Jiménez with his brand Mancandy, Teresa López Walker and Benjamín Millán, as well as the Janette Klein collective.
Within the SAPICA programming will be the Knowledge Pavilion, a meeting point for the treatment of topics of common interest for the entire productive chain of supply, leather, footwear, leather goods and commercialization. It will be the most important added value contribution for business: knowledge. From which new ideas for the development of companies will be generated, as a trigger for the economic evolution of the region, which will strengthen the growth of the Fashion and Footwear Cluster in Mexico.
The Knowledge Pavilion makes SAPICA a true Footwear Forum, where entrepreneurs increasingly value the opportunity to access information not only about fashion trends, which certainly play a leading role in the sector, but also about consumption trends and the evolution of current sales models.
In this space, such interesting topics have been discussed as: e-commerce in the fashion industry, WGSN the hyperdynamic consumer, use of technology to innovate and create unforgettable shopping experiences.
