SHOES DÜSSELDORF fair: with the majority of foreign exhibitors
Between March 5th and 7th, 2023, the German footwear and accessories fair was held at the Areal Böhler exhibition center in the city of Düsseldorf. In the meeting, a positive mood prevailed among the participants and a good volume of business was registered, according to Igedo Exhibitions -organizer of the show-.
The response from visitors and exhibitors to the collections of 590 brands, both new and established, 75% of which represented various countries around the world, was also positive. The proposals in footwear for women, men and children, added to accessories, shaped the trend for Autumn/Winter 2023-2024.
In this sense, SHOES DÜSSELDORF was not limited only to the local market, since to the internationalization of the exhibitors, that of attendance was added. Among the visiting countries, the organizers highlighted the participation of Austria, Benelux, Scandinavia, Palestine, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, Ukraine and Canada, meaning a volume of foreigners greater than the same edition of 2022.
Ulrike Kähler -Managing Director- summed up: “SHOES DÜSSELDORF offers the pooled power of a big trade show. And this is precisely the added value in it for retailers – an absolute asset that they won’t find in this form at any other trade show in Germany”.
In addition, despite the date change (scheduled for the end of February and then delayed to the beginning of March), the calendar will remain the same in the future, Kähler assured.
The various events developed by renowned experts focused on topics such as sustainability, fashion trends, and young designers.
In turn, the press conference of the Federal Association of the German Footwear and Leather Goods Industry was held, an entity that provided details on the situation of the industry in that country.
The second version of the year will take place between Sunday 27th, Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th August at the Areal Böhler, in Düsseldorf.
