SIMAC-TANNING TECH: 50 years leading technological innovation
Fiera Milano Rho will also host the world's largest event dedicated to technologies for footwear, manufactured goods, and tanneries. This event will be enhanced by the synergy of being held simultaneously with other sector fairs (MICAM and LINEAPELLE), focusing on finished products and supply for the fashion segment.
SIMAC TANNING TECH will take place from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th, September in pavilions 14 and 18, organized by the National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leather Goods, and Tanning Technologies (ASSOMAC).
Among the highlights for the upcoming edition is the celebration of its 50th anniversary, for which a special program of activities has been prepared. "This exhibition is a benchmark for the footwear, leather goods, and tanning technology sector, and we are convinced that this special edition will be a unique opportunity to discuss and share with colleagues and visitors," said Maria Vittoria Brustia, president of the fair and ASSOMAC.
Additionally, networking activities will be promoted, and a journey through the history of the supply chain will be presented. It will be another opportunity for sector operators to meet and exchange ideas on specific topics such as sustainability, creativity, and technological advancements, to enhance their value.
Exhibitors will showcase technological innovations over the three days, particularly new production processes and systems that meet the latest industry requirements for sustainability and environmental preservation.
Event promoters confirmed that some companies are interested in participating for the first time and project exceeding 300 exhibitors.
Meanwhile, ICE, the national foreign trade agency, will facilitate the presence of delegations of international buyers and visitors to increase the audience turnout.
Institutionally, the entity that unites Italian technology suppliers began the year with a change in its management. The new general manager of ASSOMAC is Agostino Apolito, who plans to renew the exhibition.
From January to September 2024, ASSOMAC is undertaking an ambitious project to participate in international fairs to promote Italian technology and its main event, SIMAC TANNING TECH in Milan.
The actions include setting up stands where, with the help of virtual reality and 3D viewers, interested parties can deeply explore various production plants, with machines in operation for footwear, leather goods, and tanning. It is an immersive learning experience that allows users to explore, investigate, and learn everything Italian technology offers for this industry.
The main international sector fairs that featured ASSOMAC’s stand included: Pakistan Mega Leather Show in Lahore, Pakistan; Lineapelle in New York; India International Leather Fair in Chennai, India; Lineapelle Milano in Milan, Italy; APLF Leather in Hong Kong, China; Shoes and Leather Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; and All China Leather Exhibition in Shanghai, China.
