The international fair for machinery and technology for the footwear, manufactured goods, and tanning industries will take place over three days: Tuesday, September 17, Wednesday, September 18, and Thursday, September 19.
The event will be held at pavilions 14 and 18 of the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center in Milan, Italy. This location and date will coincide with another supply exhibition, LINEAPELLE, which will present proposals in leather, hides, materials, components, and accessories.
Additionally, from September 15 to 17, the same exhibition center will also host various fashion-focused events, including MICAM (footwear), MIPEL (leather goods and accessories), and MILANO FASHION AND JEWELS (apparel, accessories, and costume jewelry).
In its upcoming edition, SIMAC TANNING TECH will celebrate a significant milestone, marking its 50th anniversary with the support of ASSOMAC, the organizing entity that also represents technology manufacturers for related sectors.
Expectations are high for a full occupancy of the two pavilions dedicated to the fair, with more than 300 exhibitors and interest from new companies. Additionally, collaboration with ITA (Italian foreign trade promoter agency) is expected to attract a significant number of international visitors.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, special initiatives will be organized. In addition to showcasing global trends, products, and cutting-edge technology, the fair will offer workshops and networking opportunities focused on creativity, sustainability, and technology.
The exchange of experiences and discussions on industry topics will take place through conferences, meetings, and seminars. Concurrently, an exhibition will be dedicated to the history of leather technology.
In last year's edition, SIMAC TANNING TECH managed to overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 health crisis and achieve its recovery. The data speaks for itself: visitors increased by 37% compared to 2022, surpassing 6,500 people; while exhibitors grew by 14%, reaching a total of 320 companies.
There was also a strong commitment to the internationalization of the fair, evidenced by the participation of 18 foreign delegations invited by the ITA agency and 40% of international visitors, according to the organizers.
It is undeniable that with the integration of new software developments, via the internet, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, technologies are gaining increasing importance in the industrial activities of the sector. More automated, flexible, and integrated productions are complemented by the emergence of new supplies and materials with innovative properties and applications. These advancements not only maintain sustainability requirements but also enhance competitiveness in terms of cost, functionality, and product quality.
Many of the exhibitors at the upcoming SIMAC TANNING TECH will present the results of their latest research and developments regarding materials, machinery, equipment, and systems that will shape the future technological direction of the footwear, manufactured goods, and tanning industries. Thus, industry professionals will have the opportunity to access, live and in person, the latest advancements proposed by the most qualified technology providers.
