SIMAC TANNING TECH: the largest technological offer
The Italian technology supplier fair, which took place from September 19th to 21st, concluded with very positive results, according to exhibitors and organizers. Much of its success was achieved due to its simultaneous timing and location with other sector-specific fairs, such as MICAM, LINEAPELLE, and others dedicated to fashion.
Exhibiting companies closed their participation with great satisfaction, thanks to the dynamic activity witnessed and the encouraging data from this edition. ASSOMAC, the organization representing manufacturers of technology for manufacturing industries and the event's organizer, also highlighted the high qualification of the attendees and the rrepresentativeness of buyers.SIMAC TANNING TECH featured 320 exhibitors from companies and brands focused on showcasing machinery and technology for the footwear, tanning, and leather goods sectors. There were also spaces for sector-specific institutions, specialized press, and services.
The companies occupied 15,000 square meters in pavilions 14 and 18 at the Fieramilano Rho event center. Compared to 2022, the volume of exhibitors saw a 14% increase, a figure similar to pre-pandemic levels.
The number of visitors exceeded 6,500 registered individuals, including delegations and professionals. 40% came from various parts of the world, covering 96 countries, including Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, Tunisia, Mexico, and Brazil.
The total attendance figure grew by 37% compared to the 2022 edition, with the return of Asian visitors being particularly noteworthy, as reported by the organizers.
The fair saw over 100 institutional delegates, buyers, and foreign press who were part of the event, promoted by the ITA Agency, a governmental entity that encourages foreign investments in the country and commercially promotes Italian companies abroad.
This translated into 18 delegations from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, India, Turkey, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, South Africa, Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Romania, England, Vietnam, and Poland, some of which also participated in the International Technical Footwear Congress UITIC.
Maria Vittoria Brustia, president of ASSOMAC, the fair's organizer, expressed: “The international presence of visitors and the attention of technology producers towards the organization of processes and digitalisation confirm a significant change towards a sustainable transition. We are certain that this path shared by all operators in the sector will soon generate satisfactory results."
Next year, SIMAC TANNING TECH will celebrate its 50th edition. The scheduled dates are Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th, and Thursday 19th, September 2024, at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition center in Milan, Italy.
