Argentina limits the entry of imported footwear to 24 million pairs

Faced with a decrease of 25 to 35% in the internal consumption of footwear and its consequent decrease in the industrial activity of the sector, the national government agreed to establish an entry quota of 24 million annual pairs for 2016 and 2017. This was reported by Alberto Sellaro, president of FAICA and CIC, Argentine Federation of the Footwear Industry and Chamber of the Footwear Industry of Buenos Aires.
