Argentina: Updates in the leadership of industry associations

CIC of Buenos Aires, which brings together manufacturers from the capital and the province, renewed its leadership. Meanwhile, CAIPIC welcomed a new president for suppliers.


Alberto Sellaro and María Martha Menini will be leading the organizations representing manufacturers and suppliers, respectively.

On October 26th, the 107th Ordinary General Assembly was held at the headquarters of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC) of Buenos Aires, where a partial renewal of the leadership took place.

During the assembly, Héctor Alberto Sellaro was reelected as the president of the entity for a two-year term. He will be joined by Daniel Risafi as the 1st vice president, Fernando De Vito as the 2nd vice president, Horacio Moschetto as secretary, and Damián Gravagna as assistant secretary, along with other assigned roles.

A notable development was the inclusion of Juan Recce, director of Bicontinentar (formerly Paquetá), a footwear manufacturing factory for various brands with headquarters in Chivilcoy, Buenos Aires province, as the titular accounts reviewer on the Board of Directors.

Changes in the leadership of CAIPIC-Suppliers

Argentine Chamber of Industrial Suppliers for the Footwear Industry -CAIPIC-, announced through a statement on October 31st, 2023, that Marcelo Lentini had resigned from the position of president of the organization due to personal reasons.

The statement also mentioned that, in accordance with Article 37 of the statute, María Martha Menini would serve as the president until the completion of the current term, which extends until mid-2024.
