By COVID-19, shoe stores perfect online sales and deliveries

Greater convenience and ease so that consumers can buy footwear.

In online sales with express delivery and exclusive application, shoe stores are betting on recovering their level of turnover.

With the aim of finding alternatives that allow them to survive in the face of isolation due to the health crisis of COVID-19, shoe stores in Buenos Aires grouped in FECOBA, the Federation of Commerce and Industry, will implement a new shoe delivery system, within online sales.

Despite negotiations with the city government for the opening of stores, 1,600 SME shoe stores are making agreements with distribution and courier companies to implement home deliveries of products and postnets for payments in less than 5 hours, with a previous online purchase.

Application for nearby businesses

As reported by the entity, the novelty is the implementation of the application with geolocation "I AM CLOSE" -Local shops- where the shoe stores will publish their photos and details of the products. Purchases can be paid by computer or cell phone by bank transfer or other means, otherwise, delivery will take the postnet to receive payment by card.

The service will consider the waiting time for the user to try on the shoes and for an eventual change of size.

Offers with greater discounts

In this way, the shoe stores will continue to work behind closed doors with minimal personnel to receive the order and to package, until its opening is authorized.

It is estimated that there will be aggressive promotions due to the accumulation of stocks and the long period of low turnover that has elapsed.
