Complaints and layoffs at PUMA
The 900 employees at PUMA's footwear factory in the La Rioja Industrial Park were protesting for equitable working conditions and salary improvements.
Until mid-March, their request received no response, despite being initiated in September 2023, as reported by local media.
Workers believed there were available monetary resources, thanks to the manufacture of approximately 15 thousand pairs daily, which could cover taxes, operational costs, and salaries.
On the other hand, the protest may have triggered around 20 layoffs. To resolve the conflict, they required the involvement of UTICRA's general secretary, Agustín Amicone.
