Footwear and leathers production fell

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) disseminated the variations corresponding to the manufacturing industry, through the report referring to the Manufactures Industrial Production index.

In this sense, the indicator was negative in the accumulated as of October 2019 for the footwear and leather sector, according to the provisional figures provided by the entity, the Directorate of Statistics of the Secondary Sector and the National Directorate of Statistics and Prices of Production and Trade.

The industrial production index for the category of FOOTWEAR AND ITS PARTS was 6.5% lower, in relation to the same period of 2018; while the TANNING AND LEATHER GOODS (excluding garments) registered a retraction of 6.4%.
