The Foreign Trade Department of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC) in Buenos Aires reported results achieved through the Exporta Simple regime.
Between 2017 and April 2024, 144,834 pairs of finished footwear were sold abroad through a total of 1,156 transactions. The total value of these exports reached USD 3.1 million.
The exports were destined for 42 countries. The leading market was the United States, with a 38% share, followed by Chile with 23%. Uruguay accounted for 14%, while Spain and Costa Rica represented 7% each.
The volume of exported footwear began at 2,000 pairs in 2017, increased to 11,000 pairs in 2018, and 33,000 pairs in 2019. In 2020, there was a decline to 22,100 pairs, followed by a rise to 35,000 pairs in 2021 and another decrease to 23,000 pairs in 2022. The year 2023 ended with 16,000 pairs.
