Footwear workers to receive staggered wage increases until August 2024

Monthly salary increments agreed upon after negotiations between employers and the union.

In an inflationary economy, worker salaries tend to be updated periodically.

The Union of Footwear Industry Workers (UTICRA) and the Argentine Federation of the Footwear Industry (FAICA) have reached a new wage agreement for sector employees. The agreement establishes a staggered increase in base salaries and additional contractual allowances, calculated on the wage scale effective until May 31, 2024.

The details are as follows:

-From June 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024: A 10% salary increase will be applied.

-From July 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024: The salary increase will be 16.8%.

-From August 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024: The salary increase will reach 23.6%.

After the three-month wage adjustment period, the parties have committed to reconvene to evaluate the situation based on the progress of various prevailing economic variables.
