GRIMOLDI reports a 9% drop in sales for the first 9 months of 2024

This represents a decrease compared to the same period in 2023. In terms of pairs sold, the decline was 6%.

The company, founded in 1895, maintains its leadership position in the Argentine footwear market.

The total sales volume drop in the period January-September 2024 reached 1.45 million pairs, 6% less than the same period in 2023.

The company noted that foreign exchange restrictions and the difficulty in passing cost increases onto prices negatively impacted profitability.

Consolidated net income, adjusted for inflation, reflected a profit of $ 4.437 billion, significantly lower than the $ 21.231 billion reported in the first nine months of 2023.

The gross margin decreased from 57.5% to 54%, reflecting pressure on costs. In addition, marketing and administration expenses increased in proportion to sales, with adjustments necessary to adapt to more direct-to-consumer consumption and more demanding logistics processes.

Nevertheless, GRIMOLDI continues to implement strategies to strengthen its competitiveness, with investments in its industrial plants in Arroyo Seco and Pilar to boost productivity and meet consumption demands.

The company, however, maintains a cautious outlook for 2025, acknowledging challenges in the macroeconomic environment. It plans to develop segmented collections, optimize logistics, implement strict expense controls, and adapt to foreign trade regulations and potential deregulations.
