Introducing promotion regime for the footwear industry
A bill to promote the value chain of the footwear sector has been presented to the Secretariat of Industry. The promotion regime is proposed by the representative chamber of footwear and the union.
In this regard, the project was driven by the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC-Bs.As.), in collaboration with Constanza Alonso, a national deputy for Buenos Aires, and the Union of Workers of the Footwear Industry of the Argentine Republic (UTICRA).
The initiative includes the substitution of imported products, registration of imported components, measures to decrease prices at the national level, the development of local suppliers, and the establishment of an Institute of Footwear, the press was informed.
