Lack of supplies impacted DASS

The factory of Brazilian origin, based in Argentina, had to interrupt its production due to lack of supplies.

At the beginning of last November, the DASS production unit in Eldorado, Misiones, ceased its activities for a few days. The decision was made by its managers, faced with the shortage of materials and components for the manufacture of footwear. It was also intended to avoid losses for the firm and for workers to keep their jobs.

Production in the manufacturing unit also had a halt at the end of that month, due to the lack of supplies from Brazil, related to the release of foreign currency by the Central Bank. At that time, it was stipulated that the arrival of the supplies would allow the activity to be reactivated, even to return the hours on a Saturday, according to the statements of Darío Vera -delegate of the Union of Workers of the Footwear Industry (UTICRA) of DASS-.
