Leather: Government deducted Export Duty
Decree 812/2020, published on October 19th, determined the exemption of the Export Duty for a set of hides and skins, which are included in the Mercosur Common Nomenclature.
The measure will be in force until December 31st of this year, with the possibility of an extension.
This official decision took into account that the meat processing sector registered an overstock of leathers and exports suffered negative variations in their performance, in the framework of the pandemic, as reported from the Official Bulletin website.
