Manufacturers met with the government

At the beginning of last December, government authorities held a meeting with members of the footwear sector, within the framework of the extension of the "Fair Prices" program.

On the one hand, Sergio Massa -Minister of Economy- was present with Matías Tombolini -Secretary of Commerce- and José Ignacio de Mendiguren -Secretary of Industry and Productive Development-. The industrial sector was represented by the Buenos Aires Chamber of Footwear, added to NIKE, TOPPER, DASS, JAGUAR, GRIMOLDI, DISTRINANDO and COOPER SHOES.

Until then, the "Fair Prices" program kept prices frozen in more than 1,900 products, in addition to increases of no more than 4% per month in another 32,000. Incorporation into the program entails the commitment of the authorities to release the necessary dollars for imported supplies.
