The Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (ABICALÇADOS) reported that sales to the Argentine market reached a volume of 1.9 million pairs, with a total value of US$ 41.2 million.
These figures pertain to the first quarter of 2024 and show a decrease of 38.2% in volume and 25.4% in value compared to the same period in the previous year, according to data provided by SECEX. The average value per pair increased by 20.9%, reaching US$ 20.65.
Additionally, the sales of Brazilian hides and skins also recorded a decline, with a 76.6% decrease in surface area (46,463 square meters) and a 71% decrease in value (US$ 946,813), according to what was provided by SECEX, prepared and published by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB).
