Recovery in retail sales
Sales in FOOTWEAR AND LEATHER GOODS retail stores decreased by 11.7% in January 2021 compared to the same month last year.
In February, the year-on-year variation was -9.1%, due to the fact that the footwear had less wear during 2020 and the decrease in purchases of these products for the school and university environment, due to the uncertainty of the beginning of the school or academic cycle. Finally, in March there was an increase of 11.6% for the sector, as reported from CAME.
