Retail sales in SME FOOTWEAR AND LEATHER GOODS stores registered an increase of 69.9% year-on-year in April 2021, motivated by the consumption of school footwear, according to CAME.
In addition, the SME Retail Sales Index determined a reduction of 13.1% for May in relation to the same month of 2020; while in June it increased by 23.8%, compared to June of last year.
In the first semester of 2021, the sectors had a rise of 35.4% compared to the semester of 2020. In turn, the variation taking into account the first six months of 2019, was negative by 28.6%.
Finally, retail sales grew 62.9% on Father's Day, with an average purchase receipt of $ 3,040 exclusively for these sectors.
