From the Department of Foreign Trade of the Footwear Industry Association (CIC) of Buenos Aires they provided figures related to Exporta Simple, the simplified export regime. For this reason, from October 2017 to October 2020, 62,300 pairs of footwear were exported through 501 operations, which represented a value of US $ 1.5 million.
The main destination country was the United States, which represented 54% of the total, followed by Chile 14%; Colombia 8%; Uruguay and Spain with 7% each, within a set of 30 nations.
In the disaggregation of figures, in the last three months of 2017, 2,000 pairs were exported; in 2018 they reached 11 thousand; in 2019 there were 33 thousand and between January-October 2020, sales abroad totaled 16,300 pairs.
