Satisfaction for 2021 results
Alberto Sellaro -president of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CIC) of Buenos Aires- affirmed that the sector foresees a 10% growth at the end of 2021 and in relation to 2019, ruling out last year due to the low base of comparison.
In addition, he assured that during this year the national footwear industry maintained a good rhythm of activity, due to the increase in consumption. In this regard, production was guaranteed, even until the first week of December, when factories generally work until mid-November, according to the leader.
Regarding imports, he pointed out that there is a control over the price of imported items, through tariffs to Asian countries, added to the general inspection on the entry of foreign products.
