Significant wage increase at DASS
In mid-May, a wage agreement was signed between DASS Group representatives and the Union of Footwear Industry Workers of the Argentine Republic (UTICRA in Spanish).
The agreement stipulates salary increases of 15%, 20%, and 25% from April to December, followed by a 30% increase in the first quarter of 2025. After that, all of these non-remunerative wage adjustments will be applied to worked hours, according to union delegate Gustavo Melgarejo. The agreement would go beyond national collective bargaining negotiations.
Currently, DASS employs 480 workers who work full-time and produce 11,000 pairs of shoes daily.
