SME production below pre-pandemic
The SME Industrial Production Index determined that FOOTWEAR AND LEATHER GOODS grew by 23.2% throughout 2021 compared to the previous year. However, the SME industry in this sector showed a drop in its production of 16.7% when compared to the performance of 2019.
Already in 2022, the activity of these SME industries increased by 39.8% year-on-year in January; while, compared to January 2020, the positive evolution was 24.6%, according to what was released by CAME -Argentine Confederation of Medium-sized Enterprises-.
