The claims of the sector to the new authorities

Sectors such as footwear, leather goods, clothing, textiles and toys are called sensitive. They felt affected by the mandate of the outgoing president -Mauricio Macri-, after having been protected in the Kirchner government, a situation to which they hope to return with Alberto Fernández.

Among the proposals of the Footwear Chamber, the main thing is the reactivation of local consumption and, in the face of imports, the inspection through instruments such as non-automatic licenses, according to Horacio Moschetto, secretary of the association. In addition, they propose a scoring system, which reduces the payment of taxes to those companies that invest, create labor sources or export.

For its part, the Industrial Chamber of Leather Manufactures (CIMA) requests extension in time in the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), fuel, tariffs and tolls freezing, and financing at lower costs, said Ariel Aguilar, president of the entity.
