Will cost structure be reviewed in the footwear sector?
According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) measured by the INDEC, the footwear and clothing chapter rose 4.1% in November 2021, compared to the previous month and accumulated a 62.8% rise in the last 12 months. This confirms that it is the item that increased the most of the 13 segments measured by the body. In the same period, the general CPI increased 51.2%.
Consumer and official entities analyze the situation in order to promote a review in the cost structure of the footwear sector. So far, the item does not have price regulation by the government, as is the case with food and medicine.
