In the middle of last March, a protest led by the Association of Footwear Producers of La Paz took place in La Paz. From the entity, they affirmed that they were in a critical situation, due to the lack of inspections at the borders.
Smuggling is one of its consequences, a topic that they seek to discuss with President Luis Arce, as reported. Given the possible lack of answers from the national government, they will add a hunger strike and continue with the protests.
