Behavior of hides and skins exports

In the first half of the year, exports of Brazilian hides and skins improved their performance in some countries. In the case of Germany, 2.9 million square meters were sold, an increase of 109.8% compared to the same period of 2018. The value of exports was also increased by 67.8%, reaching a total of US $ 34 million.

On the other hand, business to India increased by 86.5% in volume (3.1 million square meters) and 30.6% in value (US$ 11.1 million), according to data provided by the Secretary of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, elaborated and diffused by the Tanning Industries Center of Brazil (CICB).
