From July 11th to 15th, the Colombia Trade Mission was held. 16 Brazilian brands were part of the event, which exhibited the new collections corresponding to the Spring/Summer season, both in the city of Medellín and in Bogotá.
In this sense, 79 new contacts were made, out of a total of 98, and the deals reached exceeded US$ 1.7 million at the time and in the future, as reported by ABICALÇADOS -Brazilian Footwear Industries Association-.
Carla Giordani -Commercial Promotion analyst and head of the Colombian market for the footwear entity-, stated: "If we add the values traded on the spot and the expectations for the next six months, the July 2022 edition was one of the best editions held on the market so far". This was the face-to-face return of Brazilian industrialists to that country, after more than two years of absence.
The commercial activity was complemented by a seminar dedicated to this market, in addition to image promotion initiatives, such as interaction with the Colombian press, through the Photocall.
The trade mission was promoted by BRAZILIAN FOOTWEAR, a joint project between APEX-BRASIL and ABICALÇADOS.
