Employment grew in the leather sector
The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) reported that employment in this industry and in other leather preparations had a growth of 1.8% in the first month of 2021, compared to January of last year.
During that month, 548 jobs were created, according to figures provided by MTE/RAIS-CAGED. The ranking is led by Rio Grande do Sul, with 214 jobs; followed by São Paulo, with 196.
In total, the sector has 31,107 workers, according to what was prepared and disseminated by CICB.
