Expectations for exports at the end of 2023
The performance of the main markets receiving Brazilian footwear and the global context in general, impact the performance of exports, as stated by Haroldo Ferreira, Executive President of ABICALÇADOS.
For example, Argentina, while remaining the primary recipient country, is causing complications for Brazilian entrepreneurs due to changes in foreign exchange market access, with delays in payments of up to six months.
Similarly, the United States is hindering exports through interest rates and low demand.
In this regard, the leader detailed: "We expect some improvement in the last months of the year, but even so, we should close 2023 with rates between 6.7% and 9.1% lower than those recorded in 2022 (in pairs)", as reported by ABICALÇADOS.
