Due to coronavirus, FIMEC will be held without exhibitors or Chinese visitors

On Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12, March, 2020, the 44th edition of the supply fair -FIMEC- will be held at the FENAC fairgrounds in Novo Hamburgo/RS, Brazil.

However, due to the coronavirus, from the organization of the exhibition they reported the absence of Chinese exhibiting firms, as well as visitors from that country. Among the arguments put forward, the public health situation was highlighted, in addition to inconveniences at the logistics level.

The International Fair of Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries said that it will have the Chinese presence in next year's edition (2021).

For its part, the exhibition will be held in March, taking into account phytosanitary standards and protocols proposed by the Ministry of Health and Secretariats of Health at the municipal and state level, reported from FENAC.
