Footwear imports increase
According to information provided by ABICALÇADOS, in 2023, 28.3 million pairs entered the country, representing an increase of 9.8% compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, the total value was US$ 442.7 million, marking a 20.6% increase based on figures provided by SECEX.
Compared to pre-pandemic statistics (2019), the performance of imports also reflects positive indicators: a 0.7% growth in volume and +18.4% in value.
