Higher volume of leather exports
In the first quarter of 2023, Brazilian leather exports reached a total of 39.2 million square meters, a 5.4% increase compared to the same three months of 2022. As for the US$ 278.3 million in business, this represented a 16.1% decline, according to data prepared and released by CICB.
On the other hand, the exported skins and leather in 2022 reached an area of 140.7 million square meters, valued at US$ 1.218 million. When compared to figures from 2021, there were declines of 18.3% in volume and 13.8% in value, according to data provided by SECEX.
