Imported footwear decreased

From January to August 2021, 15.2 million pairs of footwear entered Brazil, for a value of US $ 212.2 million. Compared with the same months of 2020, negative variations of 4,7% and 0,4% respectively were registered, according to what was reported by ABICALÇADOS.

The fall in imports is also reflected in relation to 2019 figures. In this sense, the volume decreased by 22,2% and the value by 14%, according to figures provided by SECEX.
