Increased imports of footwear
From January to June 2022, 15.4 million pairs of imported footwear entered the country, for a value of US$ 178.3 million. Compared to the same months of 2021, the increases were 27.4% and 11.6%, respectively, according to data provided by SECEX.
Among the main footwear supplier countries -all of them Asian-, the increase in China stood out, which was 60.1% in volume and 48.1% in value, reported ABICALÇADOS.
