Increased imports of leather
According to information compiled and released by CICB, the inflow of hides and skins into the Brazilian market reached an area of 1.3 million square meters in the first three months of 2024, with total business amounting to US$ 20.5 million.
Comparing it to the same quarter of 2023, the surface area variable increased by 107.5%, while business transactions increased by 23.6%, according to data provided by SECEX.
