Leather: Increased volume of exports
The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) reported that exports of hides and skins reached 158.9 million square meters in 2023, while the total value amounted to US$ 1.117 billion.
In this regard, the volume of exports grew by 13% compared to the previous year, while the value experienced a decline of 8.3%.
When comparing with data from 2021, the variations show negative trends of 7.7% and 21%, respectively, according to figures provided by SECEX and compiled by CICB.
