Brazilian footwear sold abroad accumulated a volume of 74.9 million pairs in the first half of 2022, meaning an increase of 31.3% compared to the same period last year.
Regarding value, a variation of 67.5% was registered, totaling US$ 651.6 million, according to figures provided by SECEX and disseminated by ABICALÇADOS.
For Haroldo Ferreira -executive president of the entity- markets such as the United States and Chile encourage foreign sales of footwear, which show a repair compared to 2019 (pre-pandemic), with increases of 30.9% in volume and 35,6% in value.
