The executive president of the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (ABICALÇADOS) -Haroldo Ferreira- said that there was a retraction of more than 33% in retail footwear sales at the local level, in the first eight months of 2020, compared to the same months of 2019, based on data provided by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
