Once again, Riva del Garda, Italy, became the meeting point for the international footwear, leather goods, and accessories industry through EXPO RIVA SCHUH AND GARDABAGS. The fair took place from June 15 to 18, where collections for the Spring/Summer 2025 season were showcased.
Among the international exhibitors, the Brazilian delegation was one of the most significant and numerous, promoted by BRAZILIAN FOOTWEAR, a joint project between APEX-BRASIL and the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (ABICALÇADOS).
In this context, 49 brands participated, including AREZZO, BIBI, BEIRA RIO, JORGE BISCHOFF, PICCADILLY, and WEST COAST.
"Brazil, once again, was present with the best companies in the country exhibiting and representing the footwear-producing regions, using the fair as an effective sales tool, which for us is a very important sign," said GianPaola Pedretti, general director of EXPO RIVA SCHUH AND GARDABAGS.
Paola Pontin, Business Coordinator of ABICALÇADOS, confirmed that companies had the opportunity to present different products for various segments, thus making their diversity visible.
As a result, in the four days of the fair, more than US$ 3.2 million in business was generated, with the sale of 273,700 pairs. Future projections elevate the value to US$ 19.8 million and a total of 1.3 million pairs.
Thus, the event provided a space for generating new contacts and, above all, the continuation of already established commercial relationships, according to the entity representing Brazilian industrialists.
