Significant rise in the value of leather exports

​In the first eleven months of 2021, Brazil sold abroad 159.5 million square meters of hides and skins, worth US$ 1,292 million. These figures meant positive variations of 3.2% and 48.2% respectively, compared to the same months of 2020.

Compared to 2019, the volume of what was exported had a decrease of 6.2% and the value increased by 19.9%, according to data provided by SECEX, prepared and disseminated by CICB -Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry-.
