The industry had its Footwear Week

From the organization carried out by SEBRAE -Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Businesses- and the IBTeC -Brazilian Institute of Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology- the Footwear Week 2019 was held. Between October 6 and 10, several talks aimed to promote sustainability and competitiveness in the footwear industry.

Topics addressed included digital marketing, traceability of processes in smart factories, innovation through the technological marathon, the interaction between industrialists and merchants. In addition, the Scenario Analysis exposed the situation in 2020 in relation to politics, economy and society; while on the last day the 5th IBTeC Innovation Forum was held, according to the event's web portal.
