In the middle of last June, the launch of CALÇADOS DO BRASIL was announced, a digital tool developed by ABICALÇADOS, -Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries- together with 25 unions of the sector.
The digital platform aims to connect the shoe industry and merchants from all over the country. "The CALÇADOS DO BRASIL site will function as a virtual shopping guide for B2B (business to business)," said Haroldo Ferreira, executive president of the Association.
Members of the entity and merchants may be part of the platform for free. They will have to make a previous registration and, from there, the merchants will be able to carry out searches through certain filters, while the shoe companies and factories will also be able to carry out eventual contacts. The tool will remain active throughout the week, 24 hours a day.
The country's economy is going through a digitization phase, and in this sense, CALÇADOS DO BRASIL is an action consequent with this context, as Ferreira said and ABICALÇADOS reported.
